The Most Magical Campground
After a couple of chilly days in St. Augustine FL, today we reached Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. The drive was short enough that we did not need to charge the EV along the way. This campground was one of the first things built at Disney World, and it is one of the highest rated campgrounds in the country. It's also huge: 28 camping loops. 28! (For comparison, Cape Disappointment State Park, one of the largest campgrounds in Washington, has 17). So of course we had to visit!

We got lucky and got a campsite on loop 2, close to the water and the shops. We are also a short walk from the boat that goes to the Magic Kingdom resort. After we settled in, we walked the length of the campground, then rode the boat to the Magic Kingdom. (Our park passes don't start until tomorrow, so that's as far as we went).

The signature restaurant at the campground resort is the Hoop Dee Doo Review, an Old-West-themed dinner show with old-timey music and corny jokes that are older than Walt Disney himself.

It was a lot of fun with so much fried chicken and sides that we decided to skip the featured strawberry shortcake dessert. Afterwards, Greg initially planned to walk off dinner, but we were both too cold to do more than walk back to our RV.
