Georgia on my mind

Georgia on my mind
Yay, a pull-in charger!

We drove further than we planned today and made it to Exit 1 in Georgia. We are finished with Florida for this trip. The drive was mostly uneventful. A little traffic, a very crowded Buc-ee’s and a short but powerful rain storm that came out of nowhere. The rest was boring enough for us to just push forward.

We have been preparing for the Georgia part of the trip. First, Amy has been rereading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. This is a preview of our next stop! She didn‘t start it early enough, so she won‘t be done in time.

On our long drives we have been listening to a podcast that was recommended to Greg by his audiologist: the Acquired Podcast does deep dives into the history of iconic businesses. Each episode is 3-4 hours long, which makes for good listening on long drives. We really enjoyed the Costco and Trader Joe’s episodes earlier on this trip. Today, we listened to the Coca-Cola episode on the drive. There were some interesting twists in the history that neither of us knew. One funny coincidence is that we got to the closing music of the podcast at the exact moment we pulled into the driveway for the RV park.

Our current campground is adequate. Maybe. We will probably leave earlier than we had planned tomorrow morning and find somewhere to stop along our drive since our destination is only a couple of hours away.
