Finally!
While it wasn’t hot today, it finally wasn’t cold. It was warm and sunny enough for us to enjoy a day outside. The high was 64 degrees F (18 C).
We spent the morning on Anna Maria Island. We parked at Holmes Beach and walked along the beach for a couple hours. Along the way we saw a lot of birds, many of them hanging close to the people with fishing poles. It seemed like they were thinking that it’s easier to steal a fish than to catch one. We also saw a couple of dolphins swimming very close to the shore.

In the afternoon, we were able to take our kayaks out. This is the first time this trip. We schlepped them across the country and were glad that we finally got to use them. There is a boat launch at the campground which made for an easy launch.

After kayaking, we found out that we are the talk of the campground. Several people stopped by to ask about our RV. Apparently there is a group of men who meet for coffee every morning. This morning they were trying to figure out how we drove an EV from Washington. We also got a lot of questions about the Bowlus too. Greg was invited to join them for coffee tomorrow morning.
This evening we drove to St Armands Circle and walked around. There was a shop that specializes in baklava. It wasn’t our intention to get dessert, but it was definitely worth it!
