Life's a beach
Overlooking the cove in Santispac

While Amy has been with her family, Greg continues to enjoy Playa Santispac, on Bahia Concepcion off the Gulf of California (AKA Sea of Cortez). The RVs are parked right on the beach. The water is not safe for swimming due to the many stingrays, but the beach is beautiful. There are a couple of bars and restaurants along the beach, with live music.

Greg is renting a kayak and has explored several coves both north and south of our campground. The stingrays scurry away from the paddle. A pair of dolphins swam alongside Greg's kayak on Friday morning, and Greg shouted with delight. Unfortunately, since Greg doesn't have his regular kayak gear, he doesn't have a safe way to carry his phone, so there are no photos. Use your imagination!

Greg took the photo above on his Thursday morning run, where he climbed a trail to the top of one of the peaks. Soon after that photo, Greg hit a patch of gravel and took a fall. Fortunately, we have a well-stocked first aid kit in the RV. When others from the caravan see the injury, they asked what happened; Greg usually tells a tale involving vultures, marauders, or whatever is on his mind at the moment. That's more interesting than telling the truth that Greg is simply clumsy.

Ouch!
