Today was a day of downtime. Well, it was downtime by Greg’s standards! First, Greg took a morning run that climbed to sea level.

Next, we settled into the campsite, setting out chairs, firewood, etc. After lunch, a drive to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. There, we walked on the salt flats, which seemed smoother following the 2023 flooding after Hurricane Hilary.

A quick stop at the Furnace Creek Ranger Station, then a campfire with burgers and s’mores. Everything seems to taste better over a campfire! All said, a relaxing way to spend the day.
