Early birthday

Early birthday

Today we spent in Los Barilles, our last campground before heading north. There is a nice beach, and it is reported to be the kite surfing capital.

There are random farm animals roaming around the campground. Several times they have had to shoo away cows. And a chicken decided to jump onto the roof of our RV. Greg had to chase the chicken out until it, well, crossed the road.

Tonight we had a cooking class at a nearby restaurant. The chef taught us how to make sopes and tortillas. We had a lot of fun. Greg got into the action and was offered a job as a sous chef.

Then as a surprise, the wagon master arranged for a birthday celebration for the three caravan members whose birthdays occurred during the trip. Amy managed to keep this a surprise from Greg. And boy was he surprised! They had a huge cake with trick candles. Of course the sombreros had to come out. Greg, always the mathematician, took the job of cutting the cake into 24 portions.

Our evening was a lot of fun!
