About us
Hiking at Heart Rock, Joshua Tree National Park

Hi, we're Amy & Greg Glockner.

After careers in software, we got the great opportunity to retire in our mid-50s and take an adventure of a lifetime. From our home in Bellevue Washington, we're driving our RVs (yes, two!) to remote and exciting places. Plus an occasional good-old-airplane trip, too.

In this blog, we share where we are and what we're seeing. We hope you will follow along on our adventures.

About our vehicles

Noble Spirit: 2022 Bowlus Terra Firma travel trailer, towed with a 2022 Tesla Model X. (The Terra Firma model is no longer made, but it's similar to the Endless Highway model). This is our luxury RV, best suited for national and state parks where we have full hookups (electric, water, sewer). When we travel with the Noble Spirit, we park the trailer at the campsite and use the Tesla to explore the area.

R2V2: 2025 Winnebago EKKO 23B class B+ motorhome, converted to be even more rugged by FreedomVanGo in Jacksonville, Florida. Although R2V2 can't fly like its namesake, it can go almost anywhere: gravel, dirt, beaches...

R2V2 is our beast that takes us on extreme adventures. Stay tuned for that!

How is this site built?

This site is powered by the Ghost open source blogging platform, running via Docker with a custom configuration developed by Greg. The location data are pulled from the Peplink routers in the RVs, using Python code written by Greg. The maps are generated with Leaflet for OpenStreetMap. Everything is hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5 in our home.

Contact Greg if you see bugs or errors.
